Cabinet of Curiosity, Into the Adventure, 16"H x 14"W x 8"D
Artist statement:
My section of the text had briefly discussed old aged pirate treasures and botanical gardens. This go me thinking about what types of treasures pirates must of found back in the day. I came up with the idea of an octopus teacup. To create this I made tenticles out of clay and painted a tea cup green. When creating my objects inspired by botanical gardens, I was slightly inspired by Alice In Wonderland. My original idea was to create faces for these flowers using clay, however, I ended up making little legs or mermaid tails for them instead.
